Member Biographies

 

Elizabeth A. Cunnin

Betty Cunnin is currently the Apprentice Coordinator and Horticulture Program Chair of Faculty at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Previously, Ms. Cunnin was a trades gardener with the District of North Vancouver, and a lead horticulturist and designer with Anderson Garden Services. Active in her community, she is currently a member of the BC Landscape and Nursery Association and the International Society of Arboriculture. Previously, she was a member of the BCSLA Board of Examiners. Ms. Cunnin holds her Horticulture Apprenticeship in Landscape from Kwantlen Polytechnic University; Residential Landscape and Design Certificate from North Shore Continuing Education; and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Masters of Education from Simon Fraser University.

 
 

Daniel Roehr

Daniel Roehr is currently the Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the founder and a researcher of the Greenskins Lab, Sala, UBC. In addition, he was also the director and co-founder of the ECS Architecture and Urban Planning Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China. Active in his community, he currently is a member of both the BC and Canadian Society for Landscape Architects, North Shore Heritage Preservation Society, and the Rotary Club Yaletown. Mr. Roehr holds his Higher National Diploma from Askham Bryan College of Agriculture and Horticulture in England and his Bachelor of Arts from the Heriot Watt University in Scotland.
 
 

Matthew Gordon Soules

Matthew Soules is the Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the University of British Columbia. In addition, he is the Director at Matthew Soules Architecture. Prior to this, he was as intern architect at both Pei Cobb Freed Partners in New York City and the Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Rotterdam. Soules is an active board member with the Architectural Institute of B.C. and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture and was previously a member with the Vancouver Urban Design Panel. Mr. Soules holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of British Columbia and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University.
