Michael Nassichuk is the Owner of Mountainside Gardening, a horticultural company that he started when he retired as the Acting Regional Director for the Environmental Protection Branch for Environment Canada. Before that, he was the Manager of the Pollution Prevention and Assessment Division in the same branch of Environment Canada. He also worked with the Department of Fisheries of Oceans as Chief of the Water Quality Unit for the Habitat Management Division. Mr. Nassichuk holds his Bachelor of Science in Biology (Honours) and his Masters of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia.
Daniel Roehr is currently the Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the founder and a researcher of the Greenskins Lab, Sala, UBC. In addition, he was also the director and co-founder of the ECS Architecture and Urban Planning Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China. Active in his community, he currently is a member of both the BC and Canadian Society for Landscape Architects, North Shore Heritage Preservation Society, and the Rotary Club Yaletown. Mr. Roehr holds his Higher National Diploma from Askham Bryan College of Agriculture and Horticulture in England and his Bachelor of Arts from the Heriot Watt University in Scotland.
