Charlie Wyse is a former elected Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Cariboo South. During his term he held portfolios as critic for Mental Health, for Agriculture, for Municipal Affairs, and for TILMA (Trade Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement). Mr. Wyse was elected to Williams Lake City Council in 1979 and served 23 years. He held several portfolios including Finance Chair and was a Director or Alternate Director on the Cariboo Regional District for many years, representing the City of Williams Lake. Throughout his career, he taught math, science, and alternate education before retiring from Columneetza Secondary. Active in his community, he was a member of the local and provincial teachers' union, serving in several roles including Local President, Local Rep to the BCTF, and Chair of North Central District Council. Mr. Wyse holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia.
