Sri Pendakur is a Registered Social Worker with more than 30 years of professional and volunteer experience in Mental Health and Addiction Services ranging from the front line to senior management. He has filled multiple roles over his working career including Acute Care Social Worker, Community Mental Health Case Manager, Professional Practice Lead and Manager. He is a strong supporter of peer support and family involvement and has extensive knowledge and expertise in cross cultural mental health. Mr. Pendakur is active with the Mental Health Commission of Canada serving on the Immigrant, Refugee, Ethno-cultural and Racialized Population Committee and has previously volunteered at both Provincial and National levels with the Canadian Mental Health Association. Additionally, he served on the Board of the BC College of Social Workers and is a long-time member of the BC Association of Social Workers and is active with their Multicultural Concerns & Anti-Racism Committee. Mr. Pendakur holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia.
