Joe Rodgers has extensive experience in community safety, public policy and administrative law. He has served as Executive Director, Edmonton Police Commission and Executive Director, Alberta Solicitor General and Public Safety. Prior to this, he had a long progressive career with the Edmonton Police Service. Mr. Rodgers has also been appointed to a wide variety boards, commissions and quasi-judicial tribunals. He has served on disciplinary tribunals for the 30 self-governing colleges under the Alberta Health Professions Act, the Alberta Alcohol & Drug Abuse Commission, the Alberta Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act Appeal Panel (Vice-chair), the Edmonton & Area Child & Family Services Authority Board, the Professional Conduct Committee under the Alberta Teaching Profession Act, the Alberta Students Finance Board (Chair) and the Edmonton Community Lottery Board (Chair). He is currently a member of the British Columbia Employment and Assistance Appeal Tribunal. Mr. Rodgers received his Public Administration Certificate from the University of Alberta.
