1 | Consistent with a sunset clause introduced when these exemptions were extended for 5 years in 1992, the provincial sales tax will apply to sales of propane used in motor vehicles, effective June 1, 1997. This will reduce the cost of the tax expenditure to about $16-18 million in 1997/98. |
2 | Estimates are for the 1996 calendar year and include only school and rural area property taxes levied by the province. |
