Information Management

Information Management is divided into three areas:

Strategic Planning and Enterprise Architecture - provides strategic planning advice and assists with enterprise architecture direction in support of government standards and goals.

Information, Privacy, Security and Records Management comprises:

  • Access to Information and Privacy Management: responsible for the administration of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and providing advice on the interpretation of policy and procedures related to that act. Records Management provides advice, guidance and assistance on records management procedures and practices, electronic document management frameworks and ensures compliance with the Document Disposal Act. Forms Management and Development: Manages and designs ministry forms and ensures compliance with federal and provincial government policy and procedures and legislative requirements.

  • Security Management: Develops effective guidelines and procedures for the protection of information and ensures awareness of, and compliance with, government security policy and standards.

Client Systems and Technology Management comprises:

  • Client Services: Manages the clients overall information management and information technology (IM/IT portfolio to enable clients to achieve their business objectives). Application Maintenance and Support: Maintains the reliable operation of applications and their host systems.
    Web Maintenance and Support: Provides a web environment that meets client needs and is compliant with government standards.

  • Project Management: Provides project leadership, resources, standards, policies, tools, processes, and reporting for application, web, infrastructure and technology projects
