Strategic Human Resources is divided into five areas:
Advice and Consultation - provides counsel to executive and senior management on business and service needs by maintaining in-depth knowledge and understanding of clients' business goals and objectives.
Human Resource Strategies and Planning - partners with executive and senior management in all facets of human resource planning and strategies including: Human Resource Management Plan and employee surveys, workforce planning; employee wellness strategies; occupational health including violence prevention initiatives; organization and classification strategies, employee and labour relations; standards of conduct and investigations; represent clients on Corporate committees.
Human Resource Research and Analysis - strategic intelligence decision support, data management and reporting, needs assessment and diagnostics including corporate-wide and ministry specific. Performs ministry-specific research and analysis in support of Human Resource Strategies and Planning and best practices.
Brokerage - advocacy/brokerage role between client and BC Public Service Agency; represent client/participate in development of and monitor, Service Level Agreements; participate in dispute resolution. Negotiate and monitor "SHR" Schedule of CAMSS Service Level Agreement with clients.
Governance - co-ordinates input and represent clients' interests in collective bargaining. Participates and represents clients on corporate committees; co-ordinates and negotiates blocks and units with agency; facilitates implementation of corp/ministry HR initiatives and policies within client organizations. Ministry Article 29 Committee co-chair. Strike contingency planning.
