1 Expenditure by function is presented on a basis to more closely follow the presentation used by Statistics Canada. Unless otherwise indicated, figures for previous years have been restated to be consistent with the presentation used for 2000/01.
2 Includes forgiveness of $1.08 billion debt owed to the government by British Columbia Ferry Corporation.
3 Includes a one-time writedown of $70 million for the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre project and $41.4 million writedown of the government's investment in the Kemess mine.
4 The Contingencies and New Programs vote is assigned to "Other" in the 2000/01 budget estimate, but is allocated to functions according to specific expenditures in prior years.
